Give back to the community

Boys and Girls State and Girls State

Boys and Girls State and Girls State are participatory programs that teach young men and women about responsible citizenship and principles of democracy in a hands-on, structured learning environment. Forming a city, county, and state government is part of the experiential learning as well as issues and current events assemblies, presentations from notable leaders, and recreational programs.

Both Boy Scout Troops have donated many hours of their time assisting Post 246 with our events including Wreaths Across America, Fourth of July, Crab Feed Fundraisers, Boys State and Girls State Luncheons, Veterans Day, military enlistment recognition ceremonies, and other activities.

Memorial Day and Veterans Day Remembrances

We fulfill a sacred duty by honoring the memories of military members after their deaths during their service on Memorial Day and our fellow veterans in recognition of their service to our country on Veterans Day.
